International investors in the USA, Japan, China and the United Kingdom benefit from FDI representatives who will support in all questions relating to locating in THE LÄND.

As the #1 innovation region in Europe, Baden-Württemberg is an attractive investment location for companies from all over the world. To provide the best possible support for companies interested in expanding to the German Southwest, we are extending our investor service EXPÄND INTO THE LÄND with a strong team of FDI representatives in the USA and Japan. In China and the United Kingdom, two direct contact persons have already been available to companies looking to expand.

The representatives are responsible for

  • representing Baden-Württemberg as a business location at various trade fairs and conferences in the respective state,
  • establishing and maintaining business relationships with relevant institutions,
  • approaching potential investors and informing them about the advantages of THE LÄND and answering any questions they may have about setting up in the state, and
  • identifying country-specific trends and investor needs and responding with appropriate support.

In the US Eastern region, Gui Asset has been supplementing the investor service with a team of six since February, while in Japan Masaki Teraoka provides support with three additional representatives. Baiwen Li from our branch in Nanjing is the contact person in China, Nicola Pinder is the representative of the state of Baden-Württemberg in the United Kingdom and is responsible for the UK. Feel free to contact the representatives! All necessary contact details can be found here.

Some of the location scouts are currently on the road in THE LÄND and are getting to know Baden-Württemberg's economic and scientific landscape as well as important cooperation partners from April 22 to 25. The highlights of the week are the visits to the ARENA2036 e. V. research campus, Europe's largest and leading AI center Cyber Valley and the sustainable industrial and technology park H2-Aspen.
